Why we started 3rdLoop Solutions, and why now
Five founders, years of carrying the work in the rat race, and a list of problems we never had the hours to solve. Here is why we started 3rdLoop Solutions, and why we think today is the day to build.

Every company starts with a reason. Ours started with being tired.
Between the five of us, we spent our careers inside banks, software teams, and delivery projects. We wrote the requirements, built the systems, and kept them running when they broke. We were good at it, and we carried a lot of it: late nights before a release, weekends before an audit, long commutes, and longer meetings.
But the rat race doesn’t reward carrying more. Every deadline we met made room for a tighter one. Good ideas sat waiting for approval. And the problems friends, founders, and clients kept bringing us stayed on a list we never had the hours to get to. We were doing our best on someone else’s roadmap, and it was never enough.
Then two things happened at once. We admitted we were burning out, and AI changed what a few experienced people could build on their own.
Starting a company has never been more possible
A few years ago, building a serious software product took a large team, a large budget, and a long runway. Most good ideas never got past the first conversation, because the cost of trying was too high.
AI has changed that. A small team can now design, build, test, and ship in weeks what used to take a department and a year. Software can read documents, classify requests, draft replies, and find the source behind an answer. Work that once needed a room full of specialists can now run inside a product, with a person reviewing what matters.
The cost of starting has dropped too. Cloud infrastructure, open tools, and AI models that get cheaper every year mean a company no longer needs to raise money before it can build something real. We wrote about one example of how fast that cost is falling in our article on Jev and System One models.
We can now build products that were beyond what we imagined when we started our careers. That is why we believe today is the day to start a company with AI. The tools are ready. Waiting has become more expensive than starting.
The problems came first
We didn’t start with a technology looking for a use. We started with a list of problems people had already told us about, many of them more than once.
- “I don’t know what this contract means, and I can’t call a lawyer for every question.” Small businesses sign leases, hire people, and deal with regulators without legal help on hand, because a lawyer for every question costs too much.
- “What is this property really worth, and where does that number come from?” Owners, brokers, and investors make high‑value decisions on estimates they can’t trace.
- “Payroll takes our HR team days every cutoff.” Attendance, leave, and government contributions were still computed by hand, in spreadsheets, and checked by hand again.
- “I have the idea, but I don’t have a co‑founder, and I can’t prove my progress.” Founders depended on who they already knew, and accelerators rarely saw the work behind the traction.
- “Our work is split across five tools and a group chat.” Operations teams kept moving the same information between systems by hand, and no one could say who was accountable when something went wrong.
Each of these was a real, frequent problem that already cost people time and money. We knew how to solve most of them. What we never had was the hours, or a budget that made the work worth doing for one customer at a time.
Why these problems stayed on the list
It wasn’t that nobody cared, or that nobody knew how. The economics didn’t work, and the people who could have solved them were already stretched.
Custom software for one small business cost more than the problem it solved. Legal research that cites its sources needed people to read and index thousands of documents. Valuations with evidence needed data work that only large firms could pay for. Payroll rules and approval flows needed developers every time a policy changed.
AI changes the math. Software can now do the reading, sorting, drafting, and checking that made these problems expensive, and a person can review the result instead of doing all of the work. Problems that were too costly to solve for one customer can now be solved once and offered to many.
That is what 3rdLoop Solutions is built to do. We turn those long‑standing problems into products:
- Batayan, an AI legal assistant for Philippine businesses, with answers cited to the source and licensed‑lawyer review before you sign.
- ariarian.ai, a property‑intelligence workspace that shows the evidence behind every value, and where that evidence runs out.
- Habi, an all‑in‑one HR platform, from the first job post to the final payslip.
- 3C, a free startup workspace, co‑founder matching, and accelerator batches for Filipino founders.
For clients whose problems are specific to their own operations, we build enterprise solutions: AI and automation, web and mobile systems, and the design and quality work that goes with them.
Why people stay in control
Being able to build almost anything doesn’t mean software should decide everything.
We have seen AI tools that add work instead of removing it. People re‑prompt, re‑check answers, and try to reconstruct why a decision was made. We have also seen leaders who can’t explain what a system did, or who was accountable for it.
So we built 3rdLoop around one rule: software handles the routine work, escalates what matters, and leaves consequential decisions with a person. Every action has a risk level, an owner, and an escalation path. That is what our tagline, The Human on the Loop, means in practice. You can read more about how it works on our oversight page.
The problems our friends and clients brought us are about contracts, property, people’s pay, and new companies. Those are decisions people should stay accountable for. AI makes the work possible. People keep it trustworthy.
Today is the day
If you have been carrying a problem for years because there was never the time or the budget to fix it, it may be worth asking again. The answer has changed for many of the problems we hear.
- If you run a business, tell us about one workflow that costs you time every week. We’ll start with a free assessment and prove the result on one workflow and one metric before any larger commitment.
- If you’re a founder, start with 3C. It’s free, and it’s built for people who want to build now.
- If you want to build with us, as a partner or an investor, see our partners page.
We started 3rdLoop Solutions because we were tired of running hard on someone else’s roadmap, the problems were real, and the tools were finally ready. Contact us and tell us about the problem that has been sitting on your list.
